Role:
Every teacher is equally responsible and accountable for helping Sekolah Victory Plus deliver quality education through:
- Planning, teaching, managing all aspects of the assigned curriculum in line with both the requirements of the International Baccalaureate PYP, Cambridge, Indonesian National Curriculum and the school’s priorities.
- Assessing and reporting accurately students’ academic progress and their personal and social development to students and parents.
- Encouraging and supporting the holistic development of students as a class/subject teacher and class manager.
- Maintaining required records accurately.
- Working professionally and collaboratively with colleagues and as partners.
- Continuously developing professionally in line with the school’s priorities.
- Participating in the full range of school activities.
What we have done related to the role and statement
Planned and Taught Curriculum:
Written Curriculum:
Refer to scope and sequences every planning.
Assessment and Reporting :
- Refer to scope and sequences, students ability and the tools that we have when doing the planning.
- Write the planning in weekly planner and put the soft copy in server.
- Check students’ understanding about previous unit and make the assessment/learning experiences that can cope all of the needs.
- Make a reflection after every unit about good things and things need to improve.
- Always prepare the tool needed for every unit by doing shared responsibilities among teachers in the same level.
- Provide extra tasks for students who need it.
Written Curriculum:
Refer to scope and sequences every planning.
- Always check and review to last year teaching/documents before setting the new learning experiences.
- Make sure that every learning experiences can cope the knowledge, skills and attitudes
- School Administration, Management and Development:
- Attend the meetings
- Keep all administrative records hidden from outsiders.
- Read e-mail and give respond/do as it says.
- Submit the documents needed
- Accept my responsibility whenever being assign.
- Collaboration : Asking , sharing and giving ideas/experiences during planning and always making sure it is understandable.
Assessment and Reporting :
- We use rubrics, checklist, and continuum to assess students’ understanding
- Discussed homework and assessment that we had after being checked by the teacher.
- Save the scores in my personal tools.
- We did it during the planning with the coordinators.
- Professional Development: always join every PD given by the school.
- School Events: be the school PIC events.
- Attend the school events (Open House, Open Day, Seminars, Trainings, etc).
- Working cooperatively (meeting, job desk, approach some people)
- Parent and Community Liaison: communicate to the parents using communication book and talk directly whenever I can meet them after school hour when they pick the students up.
- Take action to parent’s notice and referred to appropriate people (only for the things that I can’t handle by my self).
